Join the Gateway Grizzlies Professional Baseball Team as an In-Game Entertainment Intern for the 2026 season! The internship offers students the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in professional sports through our dynamic internship program. The internship runs from May to September and does not end early if interns complete their required hours. The Gateway Grizzlies are located in Sauget, IL and have been a part of the Frontier League since 2001. The Grizzlies made the playoffs in 2025 for the third consecutive year!
Qualifications:
- Must be for college credit
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Organized, initiative-taking, detailed-orientated, and have a strong work ethic.
- Have a strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to multitask and collaborate effectively.
- Have basic computer and social media skills; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Must be able to lift items up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Have reliable transportation to Sauget, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with entertainment and promotions team
- Assist in camera operations and production of video board content
- Engage with the community as part of the "street team”
- Assist in game day outreach, engage with fans, and participate in promotional appearances.
- Answer phone calls & general questions about the organization and ballpark experience.
- Support in planning and executing marketing events, mascot appearances, special promotions, and on-field/in-stadium activations.
- Assist in documenting and evaluating entertainment activities, offering feedback, proposing new ideas for future improvements.
- Work as part of the game-day operations crew to help ensure smooth execution of in-stadium entertainment.
- Assist and learn from other departments throughout the entire internship.
- Participate in mascot appearances and marketing events throughout the season.
Compensation:
- Unpaid internship (Candidates are required to work 25-40 hours per week for the internship)
- Candidates can work games and extra events for compensation at an hourly rate.
- Housing is not provided for the internship (Applicants should consider the Greater St. Louis Area for housing)
