Join the Gateway Grizzlies Professional Baseball Team as an Stadium Operations intern for the 2024 season. Gain hands-on experience in professional sports through our dynamic internship program running from May to September.
Everyone working in professional league baseball wears many different “hats,” so a willingness to go above and beyond one’s normal duties is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and coordinating employees within an assigned concession area.
- Creating and maintaining a clean, safe and fun ballpark for all fans.
- Assisting in inventory controls to ensure that the facility is adequately stocked for all events.
- Coordinating all aspects of ballpark rentals- concerts, college games, city championships, etc. to provide the best possible experience to our clients.
- Assisting in all facets of preventative maintenance for the ballpark such as employee supervision, janitorial services, and security.
- Being the primary liaison between group sales and catering departments.
- Ensuring that facility is prepared to accommodate group outings each night.
- Assisting in end of night finances and reports.
- Being available for community appearances with or as the mascot.
Qualifications:
- Must be for college credit.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be able to problem solve quickly and work efficiently in an intense environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple tasks.
- Must be willing and able to lift items up to 50 lbs. for set up and take down of games and events.
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented.
- Flexibility to work long days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation:
- Opportunities for compensation during extra events.
- Pay per game.
