As a Food & Beverage Intern, you will assist with the daily operations of the food and beverage department during home games and events. This role will provide hands-on experience in managing food service operations, guest service, inventory management, and more. You will work closely with the Director of Food & Beverage to ensure fans have an exceptional experience while enjoying the ballpark atmosphere.

This internship is unpaid and with the option to earn college credit.

Who We Are:
The Brockton Rox are a professional baseball team in the MLB-partnered Frontier League. The Rox are the New England representative franchise of the Frontier League and come with a rich history in the City of Champions. The Rox play at Campanelli Stadium, located in Brockton, Massachusetts. Fans and other members of the media can stay up-to-date with all Rox content through their social media channels @BrocktonRox. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup, operation, and breakdown of food and beverage stands and kiosks.
  • Help with inventory management, including stocking food, beverages, and supplies.
  • Assist with the preparation, serving, and quality control of food and beverages for fans.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist guests with food and beverage orders.
  • Monitor food and beverage stand cleanliness and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Support the team with event-specific needs, including promotions and special events.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of new menu items or seasonal offerings.
  • Assist with cash handling and point-of-sale operations when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage and other stadium departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Plus other duties as assigned by Director of Food and Beverage.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong interest in food and beverage operations or the sports hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (storing supplies, setting up equipment).
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (game nights).
  • Previous food service experience is a plus, but not required.
