The Brockton Rox are looking for an Assistant General Manager, Corporate Sales. The qualified candidate must be a motivated and results-driven sales leader with a passion for sports and sales.

 *Candidate will preferably be from the New England region.*

 Who We Are:
The Brockton Rox are a professional baseball team providing affordable, family-friendly entertainment in the Frontier League, a Major League Baseball Partner League. With Red Sox legend and Hall-of-Famer Jim Rice as a part-owner, the Rox play their home games at the 4,700-capacity Campanelli Stadium in Brockton, MA; located approximately 45-minutes south of Boston. Playing nearly a 100-game schedule, the Frontier League has 18-teams with presence in and around several major markets in the eastern, central and southern United States as well as Canada.

 Primary (Essential) Duties:
  • Work with the General Manager and marketing team to provide strategic direction and leadership to the corporate sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Heavy focus on generating corporate sales (and ticket sales revenue via employee outings) from local, regional and national brands in the medical, education, automotive, financial, retail, and restaurant categories; among others
  • Achieving at least 50 touch points a day
  • Cultivate strong relationships within the community that will encourage sponsorship sales and build a sales pipeline
  • Provide guidance on the sales process with team members including assistance with prospecting, qualifying potential clients, presenting solutions and hosting consistent meetings with staff on a regular basis
  • Represent the organization in the southern Massachusetts community at various events and work to identify new key community relationships and partnerships that will assist in growing the organization
  • Actively remain aware of trends and developments within our league and industry and provide ideas and insights to improve our sponsorship sales efforts
  • Work closely with marketing, operations, and other departments to coordinate sponsorship sales efforts with overall organizational objectives
  • Prepare regular reports on sales metrics and other relevant key performance indicators
  • Perform assigned duties at all home games as well as other events held at Campanelli Stadium
  • Accurate and detailed reporting

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in business/sales/marketing/sports management or similar concentration
  • 2+ years of experience in sports sponsorship and/or ticket sales or other B2B and B2C sales
  • Minimum one year of sales leadership experience
  • Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with clients at all levels of an organization
  • Knowledge of the New England and Boston sports and advertising markets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Experience with CRM systems preferred 
  • Team above self-mentality
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Desire to cultivate strong relationships within and outside of the organization
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment while prioritizing and leading multiple tasks at the same time
  • Must be able to work evenings, holidays and weekends, as required
