The Somerset Patriots, the Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, are seeking a Television Broadcast Executive Producer to lead the team’s MLB.tv broadcast production for the 2026 season.

Time Frame/Work Schedule: (March 2026 – September 2026):  The 2026 season begins in early April, with the first home game scheduled for Friday, April 3rd. The ideal candidate will have availability to start work prior to opening weekend and have all elements of the broadcast ready for the start of the season. This is a part-time, hourly position that is required to work all 69 home games (including weekends and holidays) in addition to any non-gameday hours that are required to prepare broadcast elements.

About the Broadcast: All Somerset Patriots home games are video-streamed live online at MLB.tv, the MLB app and the Bally Sports Live app. The broadcast is a six-camera (Sony HXR-NX5R) production: high home, center field PTZ camera, 1st base, 3rd base, two wireless cameras) with additional control room positions that include graphics, replay and director, as well as two play-by-play commentators. Primary software used includes Daktronics LiveClips and Newtek broadcast software (Tricaster TC1, NC1 IO Studio Module, Tricaster TC1 Replay). Experience in the Adobe media suite is a plus. All games are simulcast to terrestrial radio on Fox Sports New Jersey - 93.5 FM, 1450 AM. Each broadcast begins with a 20-minute pregame show that lasts two segments, including various graphics and video packages that play on a daily basis. Each broadcast ends with a one-segment postgame show. Select games are broadcast on the YES Network and the executive producer will be responsible for gameday logistics communication.

Strong knowledge of team trends and storylines will be required to prepare graphics and highlights packages that are distinct to each home game broadcast. Experience working with the following equipment and software is not required, but strongly preferred: Daktronics LiveClips, Newtek broadcast software (Tricaster TC1, NC1 IO Studio Module, Tricaster TC1 Replay) and Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and AfterEffects. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working in live broadcast production long term. This person will need to feel comfortable taking control of the entire broadcast with a keen vision for graphics and storylines that will be injected into each broadcast. Note: this is not an on air position.

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Preparing graphics on a daily basis that are specific to each game's distinct storylines, using Daktronics LiveClips, as well as Adobe Photoshop or AfterEffects, if applicable.
  • Cutting together clips from previous games on TC1 Replay machine and archiving melts in media drive.
  • While the team is on the road, preparing graphics and highlight packages to use during the upcoming home stand.
  • Creating commercial break slides that promote upcoming promotions, giveaways and events at the Ballpark.
  • Assist in taping and production of pre-game interviews for air during the broadcast.
  • Clipping in-game interviews and other activations for sponsorship proof of performance.
  • Assist in scheduling MLB.tv production crew for every home stand.
