The Somerset Patriots, Double-A Minor League Baseball affiliate of the New York Yankees, are looking for outgoing, charismatic, and energetic personalities to fill the position of On-Field Game Host for the 2026 Season (and beyond). The ideal candidates must be able to speak clearly and confidently, improvise in the moment, maintain excellent attention to detail, and be able to perform comfortably in front of large crowds.
This position is seasonal, part-time job, that goes from April through September, taking place on scheduled Somerset Patriots home games or special events.
Responsibilities for the On-Field Host include but are not limited to:
- Coordination with the Patriots promotions team to prepare for and follow each game’s entertainment script.
- Assist in the pre-game and in-game set up of various promotions as needed.
- Execution of on-field promotions in an entertaining and efficient manner.
- Energetic performance that generates crowd excitement and a fun atmosphere during all on-field promotions
- Ability to swiftly move throughout the ballpark for various promotions during each game as needed.
Qualified applicants should possess the following skills:
- Availability on nights, weekends, and holidays throughout our 69-game home schedule. The ideal candidate would be able to work a majority of the games throughout the season.
- Ability to maintain a level of energy and excitement across 3-4 hours.
- Ability to adjust quickly to changing situations.
- Ideally possess prior experience in sports entertainment, public speaking, and/or theater.
- Experience in sports is not mandatory, but highly preferred.
This is a part-time job working both day games and night games. Candidates should be prepared to commit to this role for the duration of the season and live within a reasonable commuting distance of Bridgewater, NJ.
