We are hiring for the following position:
Mascots
The Somerset Patriots are looking for a creative, energetic and talented performer to fill the role of Mascot for community appearances. (There are no set hours to this job as it is an "on-call" type position. A Patriots front office member will be reaching out to you in advance with dates and times of specific community events.)
- Representing the Patriots in the community at various off-site functions.
- Possibly performing at a Somerset Patriots Home game
- Fan interaction at all Patriots home games, especially with children
- Other duties as assigned by Patriots management
Qualified Applicants should:
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Be good with children
- Be self-motivated, creative and able to perform in front of large crowds
- Have reliable transportation
- Have a flexible schedule. Appearances can be during the day, at night, on weekends, or on some Holidays
- Previous experience as a mascot or performer preferred but not required.
*All qualified applicants may also be asked to come by the ballpark to take part in an audition in the mascot costume. *
Essential Responsibilities for All Positions
- Ability to interact with fans in a friendly and positive manner
- Ability to handle problem situations in a fast and professional manner
- Ability to represent the Somerset Patriots in a professional fashion
- General knowledge of the ballpark and the location of its amenities including, restrooms, first aid, customer service, ATM machine, etc
