MASCOT PERFORMER
The Somerset Patriots Minor League Baseball Club is looking for a creative, energetic, and talented performer to fill the role of one of our costumed mascots for as many as 15-20 games during the 2026 season (and possibly beyond). Additional off-site community appearances are possible as well.
The mascot’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Performing with enthusiasm and energy at Somerset Patriots Home games during the 2026 season
- Frequent and friendly fan interaction at all Patriots home games, especially with children
- Potentially helping develop promotional videos and in-game skits as needed
- Other duties as assigned by Patriots management
Qualified Applicants should:
- Have boundless energy and strong interpersonal skills
- Be good with children
- Be self-motivated, creative and have no reservations about performing in front of large crowds
- Have reliable transportation
- Have a flexible schedule with the ability to work late into a night. Games with large crowds may require the mascot work that could require being present through the end of the game. Off-site community appearances can be during the day, at night, on weekends, or on some holidays.
Previous experience as a mascot or other costumed performer is not required but strongly preferred. If you have any video of you performing or can provide contact information for someone who can attest to your abilities, that would be extremely helpful for your candidacy.
All qualified applicants will be required to take part in an audition as well as an in person interview. Pay rates beginning at $20/hour and commensurate with experience.
