The Somerset Patriots, New York Yankees Double-A Affiliate is seeking an entry level accountant to assist the Controller in finance and accounting duties for the Somerset Patriots and Homeplate Catering, the concessionaire for the Somerset Patriots.

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

Strong Excel skills

Knowledge of QuickBooks a plus

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Game Day Activities – count cash, record sales & COGS, prepare billings, complete schedules, reconcile various income and expense accounts

·         Track, record and reconcile deferred revenue and expense accounts

·         Process Homeplate Catering accounts payable

·         Record and reconcile Homeplate Catering game day activity. Assist with other Homeplate Catering game day activities

·         Manage all accounts payable activities for the Patriots, and related companies

·         Assist with Patriots accounts receivable

·         Manage all accounts receivable activities for related companies

·         Reconcile intercompany activity between companies

·         Manage all prepaid expense accounts

·         Manage all parking revenue and expenses

·         Assist with contract management for sponsorships

·         Maintain detailed reports for all capital purchases, depreciation, and maintenance and repairs

·         Allocate and reconcile credit card activity each month

·         Assist with monthly close activities 

·         Assist with miscellaneous projects and other tasks
