The Richmond Flying Squirrels, the Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, have immediate openings for Ticket Sellers. This position is responsible for selling tickets at the box office for Richmond Flying Squirrels home games and events at CarMax Park. Ticket Sellers provide friendly, efficient customer service while processing ticket transactions and handling cash and credit payments accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently and courteously answer questions concerning prices, seating, and game dates
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills; respond promptly to customer needs; respond to requests for service and assistance; work independently to handle most box office questions without assistance
- Accurately dispense tickets as requested by patrons; accept payment and make change accurately
- Courteously answer questions concerning prices, seating, game dates, and location of specific areas at The Diamond
Qualifications
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
- Ability to accurately handle cash transactions, including counting money and making change
- Ability to enter data into a computer or point-of-sale system to record sales transactions
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to listen, ask clarifying questions, and respond appropriately to inquiries; ability to read and interpret written information
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to organization and detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation
