JOB SUMMARY:
The Richmond Flying Squirrels are seeking energetic, talented, and creative performers to make up the Flying Squirrel’s 2026 Squirrels Squad Entertainment Team. The Squirrels Squad’s main role will be to enhance pre-game performances and entertainment, between inning promotions and elevate the overall game day ‘show’. The ideal candidate should have various performance skills including but not limited to acrobatics, dancing, singing, juggling, acting, and more! If you want to combine your love of sports with your love of entertainment, this is the position for you!
GAME DAY DUTIES:
- Provide energetic, engaging and fan-focused entertainment to enhance the in-game experience.
- Perform in pre-game and in-game performances on-field and throughout the ballpark.
- Attend promotional rundown meeting to be assigned that night’s duties.
- Assist in performing and planning in-game skits with Nutzy and Nutasha.
- Assist Funn Bunch with between inning promotions by being performance ‘plants’ for in-game contests.
- Perform as various costumed characters for in-game entertainment such as Flingo the Flamingo and Whacky Hot Dog Vendor, Mixed Nut Race, Dancing Drag Team and more!
- Be a positive fixture throughout CarMax Park providing exceptional entertainment and fan experience.
- Have FUNN!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated enthusiasm, energy, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Must be available for at least 75% of Richmond Flying Squirrels home games, as well as a flexible schedule that accommodates nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Energetic, outgoing personality and positive attitude.
- Strong work ethic.
- Local candidates are preferred.
- Strong performance skills such as dancing, singing, juggling, acting, acrobatics, ability to play an instrument and more.
- Ability and willingness to perform as various characters.
- Ability to be flexible in ever changing situations such as weather delays, extra innings, etc.
- Comfortability working with fans of all ages, including children.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is constantly required to stand, walk, climb stairs, speak, and hear/listen. The employee is frequently required to sit. The position requires constant light or moderate work and occasionally work that requires heavy physical effort. The position is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and humidity and frequent elevated noise levels.
