Job Summary:
The Richmond Flying Squirrels are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Shuttle Drivers to transport fans between designated parking areas and the stadium before and after home games. This role is essential in enhancing the fan experience by providing safe, reliable, and friendly transportation services. Shuttle Drivers will be responsible for operating electric golf carts, assisting fans -including those with accessibility needs- and answering questions about the stadium and its policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate electric golf carts to transport fans between designated parking areas and the stadium in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-shift safety inspections, including checks of mirrors, lights, turn signals, seat belts, and battery levels, to ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting fans and answering questions related to stadium locations, events, and policies.
- Provide assistance to guests with accessibility needs, ensuring a safe and positive experience for all fans.
- Promptly report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to the Director of Operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of carts and ensure they are properly secured and connected for charging at the conclusion of each shift.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- Effective communication skills, strong attention to safety, and a demonstrated commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests.
- Ability to safely operate an electric golf cart while following all applicable traffic laws, safety procedures, and organizational policies.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with fans in a friendly, professional, and respectful manner.
- Availability to work part-time, seasonal shifts scheduled before and after home games.
