JOB SUMMARY:
Join one of the most dynamic brands in baseball and launch your career in the sports entertainment industry! The Richmond Flying Squirrels Seasonal Hospitality Operations Supervisor will work in a unique, fun-filled environment with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience assisting department managers in all facets of daily operations in addition to learning about cost analysis, special event coordination and planning, scheduling, training and development of team members, menu development and cost controls, cash handling, culinary skill development for large-scale execution, menu design and various administrative duties within human resources. The ideal candidate must possess a strong work ethic with an interest in business management, hospitality and tourism management, special event management and/or general restaurant management and catering.

FUNN ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
  • Ensure presentation standards for all in-venue hospitality areas, including suites, are consistently met
  • Assist Hospitality Coordinator with the process of hiring, training and scheduling suite attendants 
  • Collect preorders and confirm completion and delivery from kitchen 
  • Assist with Food & Beverage Department managers with tracking product distributed to hospitality areas 
  • Oversee staffing and production in the Segra Picnic Zone and Cross Timbers Roofing Party Pavilion
  • Collect beverage tabs from hospitality areas and submit to department managers for daily reporting

QUALIFICATIONS:  
  • Must be available full-time, in-person from April 15th to September 27, 2024 
  • Willingness to work long hours including nights, weekends and holidays in addition to all 69 Flying Squirrels home games and select non-game day and special events
  • Must possess intermediate cash handling skills 
  • A team player who is willing to collaborate and work well with other departments within the organization 
  • Strong communication and superior customer service skills
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
