JOB SUMMARY:  
The Richmond Flying Squirrels are seeking a motivated and service-oriented professional to join our team as a Member Services Coordinator. This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, members, and fans while delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable game-day experiences at CarMax Park. The Member Services Coordinator will support member retention and engagement efforts through proactive communication, personalized service initiatives, execution of member benefits and events, and ongoing relationship management. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
  • Develop memorable and personalized experiences for members through proactive engagement, special events, and tailored benefit opportunities aligned with their interests.  
  • Coordinate, implement, and execute member benefits, programs, and exclusive experiences.  
  • Lead membership renewal and retention efforts through strategic outreach, relationship management, and service initiatives.  
  • Respond promptly and professionally to member inquiries while effectively resolving ticketing and service-related issues.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and professional communication with Season Ticket Members, Group Leaders, and Corporate Clients.  
  • Develop and execute strategic service and engagement campaigns designed to enhance member satisfaction, retention, and overall experience.  
  • Provide exceptional game-day service and hospitality to Season Ticket Members, Corporate Sponsors, and Group Leaders while fostering long-term relationships.  
  • Support Box Office staff with basic ticketing functions on an as-needed basis including processing transactions in person and over the phone. 
  • Respond to Group Leader inquiries related to ticket resolution and service-related issues. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the community by representing the organization at relevant events, networking opportunities, and community initiatives.  
  • Generate referrals and identify opportunities to drive new business and revenue growth through existing member relationships.  
  • Demonstrate adaptability and professionalism in a fast-paced environment by proactively solving problems and addressing challenges effectively. 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment by solving problems and overcoming objections. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:  
  • Previous experience in membership services, customer service, client relations, or a related field, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry.  
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of people.  
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while exercising sound judgment and initiative.  
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address member concerns professionally and effectively.  
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.  
  • Ability to multitask and manage numerous business relationships with professionalism, discretion, and a service-oriented mindset.  
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment while delivering a high level of service and support.

The position is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and humidity and frequent elevated noise levels. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is constantly required to stand, walk, climb stairs, speak, and hear/listen. The employee is frequently required to sit. They are occasionally required to lift, carry, push, pull, handle, grasp, and employ eye/hand/foot coordination. The position requires constant light or moderate work and occasionally work that requires heavy physical effort.
