JOB SUMMARY:
The Richmond Flying Squirrels are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Group & Ticket Sales Executive to drive ticket revenue through the sale of individual, group, and hospitality tickets. With a focus on relationship-building and creativity, this role helps grow and energize our fan community through exceptional group experiences and memorable gamedays. The successful candidate will build and strengthen client relationships, generate new sales opportunities, and ensure that every guest has an exceptional experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Drive revenue by generating new group and hospitality sales through proactive outreach, including cold calls, prospecting, networking, and referrals from existing clients.
- Provide timely and accurate updates on sales activity, pipelines, account management, and performance metrics during weekly meetings with the Group & Ticket Sales teams.
- Consistently meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals to contribute to the department’s overall revenue objectives.
- Partner with the Premium Hospitality team to ensure all catering and service needs for hospitality areas are fulfilled with exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
- Engage with existing and prospective clients during home games to strengthen relationships and identify new sales opportunities.
- Create and execute group sales strategies to support theme nights and special event initiatives.
- Manage ticket processing through ProVenue and FEVO, while maintaining accurate client and lead records within our CRM.
- Support sales efforts for 804Live events, including WinterWorld, by meeting or exceeding established sales goals.
- Represent the organization at games, community events, networking opportunities, and other initiatives to generate leads and strengthen relationships.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of ticket sales experience, demonstrating success in revenue generation, client acquisition, and account growth.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a strong commitment to customer service.
- Previous experience working in professional sports preferred.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with excellent time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, cultivate relationships, and identify new business opportunities within a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required by the baseball schedule and business needs.
