ABOUT THE COMPANY:
The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A Eastern League affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, have established themselves as one of the most recognizable brands in Minor League Baseball since their inaugural season in 2010. Guided by three pillars – be different, be impactful and have FUNN – the organization has ingrained itself in Central Virginia, annually reaching more than 10,000 students through the club's education programs while making 400-plus community appearances. Additionally, the team has renovated multiple youth baseball and softball fields across the city and awarded numerous scholarships through its 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Flying Squirrels Charities. The Flying Squirrels consistently rank among the top-drawing teams in MiLB having led all 30 Double-A teams in total and average attendance each of the past three seasons.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Richmond Flying Squirrels are seeking a Video Production & Motion Graphics Coordinator to execute the creative and strategic vision that elevates our brand, engages fans, and strengthens community connections through video and video-based content in Adobe Creative Cloud. This role ensures a consistent and compelling video presence across all content platforms while managing libraries, developing new content, adding onto an already-strong visual brand, and operating live events. The Coordinator will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver compelling and innovative video content, enhancing the fan experience and supporting key organizational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Shoot, edit, and produce high-quality video content optimized for multiplatform delivery, including team digital, social, IPTV, and LED platforms as well as local television.
  • Produce high-quality motion graphics for CarMax Park LEDs that enhance the team’s visual brand.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of video content supporting organizational objectives: brand storytelling, marketing and social media campaigns, and corporate partnerships.
  • Assist Vice President in developing motion graphics packages that support Flying Squirrels and 804Live marketing campaigns as well as corporate partnerships.
  • Manage and regularly maintain the Flying Squirrels’ growing video and content libraries.
  • Assist in load-in and execution of programming elements for CarMax Park live events.
  • Serve in multiple gameday production roles: videography, game camera, video board, graphics.
  • Fulfill other Creative Services department and team-wide initiatives as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Video, Multimedia, Sports Production, or related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in video production and motion graphics.
  • General knowledge of live sports and Major League Baseball (rules, players).
  • Proven success in producing and developing video features, executing corporate partnerships, and enhancing a visual brand on digital and social media.
  • Strong understanding of video production standards and methods, including lighting and audio.
  • Proven ability to manage short and long-form video production from pre-production through post.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud to support brand development and corporate partnerships.
  • Prior experience developing and managing content for arena or stadium LEDs is preferred.
  • Basic growth-oriented knowledge of 3d software (Blender, Adobe Element, Unreal) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Creative thinker who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Portfolio links containing video and motion graphics samples are required with your application.
