The Hartford Yard Goats, Double-A Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, are seeking a motivated, hardworking individual to join us for the 2026 Season. This position, Ballpark Operations Specialist, is a part-time, seasonal, and runs from March to September. Main responsibilities will include assisting all operations that occur at Dunkin Park between the Field and Stadium. This position would report to the Director of Field Operations, as well as the Assistant General Manager of Operations.
Individuals will be expected to be impactful to all aspects of Ballpark Operations including, but not limited to, the field crew, stadium maintenance, ballpark cleaning and events department. This position will frequently rotate between working games on the field, off-week events and stadium set up on gamedays.
Duties
Maintain the cleanliness of the ballpark
Assist with general stadium maintenance
Set up stadium and surrounding areas on gamedays
Work games on the Field Crew
Assist with conversions throughout the stadium for events and meetings
Assist with the field set up for on-field events such as graduations and company outings
Ensure that all inventory is properly stocked
Assist with the set up and tear down of batting practice
Assist in tarp pulls and tarp covers (home plate and mounds)-game and non-game days
Pre-game preparation on the field and in the stadium
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Understanding of the game of baseball
Operations experience preferred
Grounds experience is a plus
Must be able to work long hours
Must be able to work during days, nights and weekends
Work in various weather conditions
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Ability to operate utility equipment
