We are seeking candidates to join the Binghamton Rumble Ponies Food and Beverage Management Team. We are the proud Double-A affiliate of the New York Mets, playing at Mirabito Stadium in Binghamton, NY. The Food and Beverage Team is responsible for delivering a superior food and beverage experience to our fans and athletes. We have opportunities for positions from Director of Food and Beverage to Assistant Manager to work with our existing team.

We are looking for talented, professional individuals whose varied responsibilities will focus on serving food and beverages, (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), to our clients at various distribution points throughout the stadium, including two main concession stands, a barbecue shack, numerous carts, a picnic area, luxury suites, clubhouses, and others. The emphasis is on serving quality food and beverage at an affordable price with fan-friendly service in a safe and healthy way. The management team will, among other responsibilities, hire, schedule, and oversee game day staff (cooks, servers, runners, cashiers, and warehouse workers), order and store food from vendors and suppliers, manage the maintenance of equipment, devise menus, and communicate and collaborate with front office staff on promotions related to various theme nights and special events. An understanding of the procedures and execution steps required in a major food service operation and detailed knowledge of financial management (cost, budgets, POS systems, and schedules) is critical to success in these roles.

The team plays 69 home games during the regular season, mostly over 6-game homestands; game days require long hours and include night games and weekends. Strong people leadership and development/mentorship skills are necessary to be successful in this role. The ability to communicate clearly with vendors, clients, concessions staff and front office colleagues is a must as is a customer-first attitude. You will also work closely with the team nutritionist/dietitian to create menus and healthy food choices for the players and coaching staff. The job often requires grace under pressure as we serve many people in a short amount of time and adjustments to plans are inevitable.
