The Akron RubberDucks are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our sales team. The Ticket Sales Executive will be primarily responsible for generating revenue for the business through the sale of ticket plans, season tickets, premium experiences, and group events, among other opportunities. This will be accomplished through prospecting and cold calling/meeting with local companies, organizations, and individuals. Executives are expected to work with the other members of the sales staff to generate new leads and research innovative ways to sell tickets and maintain a database of all current and potential accounts. Staff members are expected to enjoy their experience working for a Minor League Baseball team and have fun while doing so. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales. It is a full-time position with the opportunity to earn commission on ticket sales.
Responsibilities
- Develop unique group events and theme nights to generate revenue through cold calling
- Produce/Maintain accurate customer and pipeline records through usage of CRM Software
- Participate in sales meetings, staff sales tables at various Akron RubberDucks games and events, attend events in the community to generate new leads
- Provide superior customer service to clients including existing ticket holders, new prospects, and single game customers
- Meet and service accounts by building relationships with current and future clients through In-Seat Visits
- Meet daily and weekly sales activity goals
- Meet monthly and annual sales goals
- Set up Meetings w/ prospective clients
- Assist organization in game day and non-game day duties including non-baseball related events at the stadium, and throughout the community
- Represent the Akron RubberDucks in professional way
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Marketing, Communication, or a sports related field is preferred
- A minimum of one year of sales and/or ticketing experience is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate Microsoft Office and an understanding of CRM software
- Strong work ethic, ability to work extended hours during the baseball season
