The Akron RubberDucks, Double-A Affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians, are seeking an energetic, service-oriented Hospitality Coordinator to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences during Akron RubberDucks home games while supporting the planning and execution of non-game day events at 7 17 Credit Union Park. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and passionate about creating memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day hospitality operations for the Kaulig Companies Championship Club, the Duck Club by Firestone, suites, and other premium hospitality areas during Akron RubberDucks home games.
- Coordinate and support hospitality operations for special events held at 7 17 Credit Union Park.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to develop and enhance hospitality menus and guest offerings.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing training for returning staff on point-of-sale (POS) systems and hospitality service standards.
- Schedule, supervise, and support hospitality staff for all games and special events.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and internal departments to ensure successful event execution.
- Monitor the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of hospitality spaces, including suites, picnic areas, concourses, and storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, grooming, and service standards.
- Adhere to all applicable state and local licensing regulations.
- Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
- Most importantly—help create an outstanding experience for every guest while having fun!
Qualifications
- One (1) year of hospitality, food and beverage, event operations, or related experience preferred, ideally in a high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated ability to create exceptional guest experiences that foster customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management, Food Service Management, Event Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on the team's game and event schedule.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
