The Akron RubberDucks (Double A Affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians) are searching for a Coordinator, Food & Beverage to join their team. This Full-Time position will assist in leading and managing the concessions operation for all Akron RubberDucks home games and will also assist in the execution of Special Events on non-game days. This position will report directly to the Assistant Director, Food & Beverage.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting and supporting the daily operation of the Food & Beverage department striving to meet and exceed performance and financial goals.
- Responsible for developing, practicing, and promoting Akron RubberDucks company culture with a direct focus on fan experience and customer service.
- Assisting with the hiring and scheduling of interns and warehouse staff
- Hands on with the evaluation, coaching, instructing, and support of all game day staff with the intent of ensuring and promoting the highest cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Responsible for the operation and sustainability of all concession equipment.
- Assists in the operation of all hospitality areas of the ballpark including picnic areas and ensures quality standards are met and exceeded.
- Extensive visibility on the front lines: Consistent guest interaction and service recovery as needed.
- Responsible for inventory control and ordering product as needed.
- Assisting with the warehouse operations and serving as the point person for all inbound deliveries of the department.
- Collaborates with the department to develop and implement new menu concepts with a focus on overall departmental margin.
- Fully utilize, troubleshoot, and train employees on POS system and Yellow Dog Inventory management system.

Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have good leadership skills and relevant hospitality experience.
- Positive attitude and a desire to learn.
- At least one year of experience in high-volume food and beverage operations is preferred.
- Customer service focused with the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members on property.
- Exceptionally organized and detailed with strong communication skills
- Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
- Strong understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- BA/BS Degree in related major is preferred
