JOB REPORTS TO: Jeremy Johnson, Administrative Asst./On-field Host
LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT: Positions are paid a flat rate per game and a prorate for rehearsals. Season begins at the begging of April, and goes until mid-September. Expected to work 4:45pm until the end of the game on game days.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Transform into a mutually agreed upon character and assist in creating a fun, engaging game day show by interacting with fans, creating bits, assist with co-hosting on-field promotions. Energetic individuals willing to participate fully in our theme nights, promotions, and antics are wanted! Must be willing to work these events on nongame days, evenings, and weekends.
Hours will vary but will include evenings, weekends, holidays, game days, and non-game days.
JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Sole purpose is to transform into a mutually agreed-upon character and provide memorable experiences with fans
- Assist the Master of Ceremonies in the delivery of an entertainment experience for the audience through the audio and physical delivery of content as outlined in the game script.
- Create character bits to perform around the ballpark to entertain fans
- Must become thoroughly knowledgeable with Truist Stadium, and the different game day operations
- Rehearse as necessary any game contests and presentations so that these activities are properly delivered to the audience.
- Communicate with other departments and employees to ensure a world-class game day show, great Guest Courtesy, and the safety of all individuals.
- Participates in production call immediately prior to doors open, and post-production call following last post game activity.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Exude energy and excitement at all work functions to engage fans
- Commitment, timeliness, and positivity
- Willingness to dress in costume, contribute creatively to events, and assist with assigned projects
- Reliability and dedication, excellent communication skills
- Acting and improv experience is a plus

- Video submission: must be horizontal, well-lit, and have good sound. Choose one of the characters below and provide a custom monologue of an interaction with a fan at Truist Stadium.
- Superhero – superpower cleans the stands
- Artist – hypes everyone up with the art but draws stick figures
- Mad Scientist – everything is an experiment
- Coach – treats every inning like a championship
- Lost Tourist – amazed by everything in the ballpark
TRAINING: All new hires in the Winston-Salem Entertainment department will be thoroughly trained on all all aspects of the ballpark, skits and promotions. You will receive training and skills needed to be successful with the Winston-Salem Dash or any other professional team.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Long periods of time on your feet, averaging 2,000 steps a game. Have the ability to move up to 35 pounds. Physically be able to access all areas of the ballpark quickly and safely. Ability and willingness to dance, and interact with fans.
