The Hub City Spartanburgers, the High-A Affiliates of the Texas Rangers, are currently looking for eager, hard-working individuals to join the team for the 2026 season!
Our goal is to provide real, hands-on experience that can be used to land leading roles within the highly competitive professional sports industry. The Photography/Social Media Intern will focus primarily on capturing and editing high-quality photo content for social media, highlights, special events, and general park and community promotions. This paid position begins in spring 2026 and will conclude at the end of the 2026 season.
Main Responsibilities:
• Shoot and edit photo content for digital use, including video boards, social media, TV commercials, etc.
• Shoot and edit photo content from games, community events and special events.
• Develop engaging content to grow social media following throughout the season, ensuring fresh and exciting content is available for fans and players.
• Assist Marketing Manager in Social Media Management through scheduling, ideating and execution of content across all social media platforms.
• Adhere to brand standards to ensure a cohesive and consistent tone on social media platforms.
• Capture photos during games with an emphasis on finding unique angles, fan engagement and game-action for future content.
• Assist the creative department in creating graphics for digital and physical use, such as social media, video boards, billboards, stadium signage, etc.
• Daily editing and logging of photos from games and events.
• Daily maintenance of photo equipment.
• Be an active member of the marketing team by contributing creative ideas for theme nights, social media content, etc.
• Other duties assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
• Pursuing or completed a bachelor’s degree in field relative to media/communications from accredited four-year college or university.
• Strong professional knowledge of graphic design within Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud Services (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom).
• Knowledge of social media trends based on platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
• Proficient knowledge of marketing equipment including cameras, microphones, etc.
• Proficient knowledge of photo editing and its organization.
• Ability to multitask and complete tasks within deadlines.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible and demanding hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to carry up to 20lbs of equipment and stand for hours at a time.
• Preferred start date is March 10th.
