Job Title: Retail Lead
Reports to: Director, Retail Merchandise
Contract Type: Seasonal
Salary Range: $19.50/hour
As the Retail Lead, the candidate will report directly to the Director, Retail Merchandise, while performing the following tasks:
Key Responsibilities:
- During games the individual will supervise the Dugout Store, providing guests with general information about the San Jose Giants Baseball Club, San Jose Giants merchandise, assist in merchandise sales, maintain store cleanliness and shopability.
- Monitor merchandise staff to ensure proper break schedule implementation as well as proper policies and procedures are upheld.
- Oversee pregame setup which includes store maintenance, product stocking, setting up the store front, making sure register is prepared with money.
- Handle merchandise processing of transactions and cash.
- Maintain proper storage and stocking of items.
- Supervise proper postgame breakdown of the Dugout Store, including bringing funds to the finance department.
- Availability to come in 1 – 2 days in between homestands to restock, input inventory, and clean store (in addition to working home games).
Qualifications:
- An energetic attitude and excellent communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work all home games including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
Experience:
- Prior customer service experience is preferred
