About the Role
The Ontario Tower Buzzers are seeking a reliable and energetic Mascot Handler to support Maverick, the official mascot of the Ontario Tower Buzzers, during home games and special events. This seasonal, part-time role plays a key part in creating a fun, safe, and engaging game-day experience for fans of all ages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Maverick during game days, including pre-game ceremonies, in-stand appearances, fan interactions, and promotional events
  • Escort and support Maverick throughout the ballpark to ensure smooth, safe and timely appearance
  • Serve as the primary point of communication between Maverick, fans and stadium staff during appearance
  • Promote the Ontario Tower Buzzers brand in a positive, professional and energetic manner
  • Maintain awareness of surrounds to ensure guest safety during mascot interactions
  • Arrive on time and remain for the full duration of scheduled games and events
  • Assist with additional event-related and promotional duties as assigned  
Qualifications:

  • Outgoing, friendly, and comfortable interacting with fans of all ages
  • Strong verbal communication and situational awareness
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-energy, crowded environments
  • Reliable, punctual and able to follow detailed schedules
  • Ability to stand, walk, and be active for extended periods 
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and scheduled home games
  • High school diploma required
