Title: Mascot Performer
Department: Gameday Operations
FLSA Status: Non-exempt/Part time
Reports To: Mascot Coordinator
Summary:
Mascots are responsible for performing as one of the six Omaha Storm Chasers mascots during Storm Chasers home games, special events, and/or community appearances.
Responsibilities:
- Interact with fans and welcome them as they enter the ballpark gates
- Participate in various promotions throughout the game and on the field.
- Distribute Omaha Storm Chasers promotional items (mascot cards, pocket schedules, etc.) to help increase team and brand awareness
- Interact with all fans at games, events, and appearances
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Must be willing to submit to a background screen; any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background screen
- Auditions for this position will be required
- Ability to improvise and interact with fans (adults and children) as well as other staff members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; work with a sense of urgency
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions including; cold, wind, rain and heat
- Must be comfortable working in a costume in front of large crowds
