Team Overview
Omaha Storm Chasers, AAA affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, have played at Werner Park in Papillion NE since 2011. The Omaha metro area has been the home of the franchise since it began in 1969. The franchise was purchased by Diamond Baseball Holdings in fall 2024.

Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH) was formed in 2021 to support, promote, and enhance Minor League Baseball through best practices, professional management, innovation, and investment.
Position Overview
This internship provides hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a Minor League Baseball club, offering valuable insight into the sports industry. You’ll gain hands-on experience supporting this department’s daily operations while developing professional skills in a baseball environment.
Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities
· Assist with the maintenance and repair of the playing field that includes, but is not limited to turf (mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, top-dressing, over-seeding, discovery/control of weeds, insects, and diseases) and dirt (infield skin, baselines, home plate, pitcher’s mound, bullpens, warning track) management
· Assist with irrigation system including proper water management of the playing surface and outside landscape, periodic maintenance checks, repairing of leaking lines or valves, and winterization.
· Assist with overseeing the preparation of the playing field for pre-game batting practice by setting up cage, screens, mats, and protective field covers
· Oversee the preparation of the playing field for game use by grooming field, chalking base path foul lines, painting outfield foul lines, marking coaching boxes
· Assist with managing all turf and landscaped areas in and outside the stadium grounds
· Assist with infield tarp pulls and snow removal, as needed
· Contribute to gameday and event operations
· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
· Prior turf maintenance, grounds keeping or landscape experience preferred
· Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for organizational business
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions
· Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required
