FNB Field, located on City Island along the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg, PA, is home to the Harrisburg Senators. The ballpark features premium seating areas, including 20 luxury suites, four dugout suites, and three outdoor picnic areas, along with full-service food and beverage operations.
This role works in close partnership with both OVG and Harrisburg Senators staff to deliver exceptional experiences for fans, clients, and guests.
Position Overview:
The Suites & Picnic Supervisor oversees all service operations for Premium Suites, Dugout Suites, and picnic areas. This position is responsible for staffing, scheduling, food and beverage coordination, and service quality for all premium and group areas. The Supervisor serves as a key liaison between guests, OVG Food & Beverage operations, and Harrisburg Senators staff to ensure a seamless, high-quality game-day and event experience. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and customer service skills in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise suite attendants and picnic servers
- Coordinate food and beverage ordering and service for premium and group guests
- Partner with Harrisburg Senators Sales and Service teams to manage guest counts, event details, and service schedules
- Work closely with the OVG Executive Chef to communicate pre-orders, game-day orders, and special requests
- Ensure compliance with food safety, alcohol service, and operational standards
- Monitor service quality and resolve guest concerns before, during, and after events
- Maintain consistent communication with premium and group clients
- Support staff performance, engagement, and professional development
- Document and communicate operational issues, guest feedback, and service opportunities to leadership
- Assist with special events and non-game-day functions as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager
Schedule & Availability:
- Minimum of 4 hours per day, Tuesday–Friday, during non-game weeks
- Up to 9 hours per day, Tuesday–Sunday, during game weeks
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Schedule will vary based on the baseball season and event calendar
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, guest services, or event operations (supervisory experience preferred)
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Experience coordinating staff schedules and event operations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to learn and navigate web-based ordering, POS, and communication systems
- Physically able to stand, walk, and assist staff for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- RAMP Certification required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- ServSafe Certification preferred
Work Environment & Expectations:
This position regularly works in both indoor and outdoor environments and requires flexibility during peak baseball and event seasons. The role involves frequent interaction with fans, clients, and Harrisburg Senators staff and represents both OVG and the organization’s shared commitment to outstanding service.
