About the Harrisburg Senators:
The Harrisburg Senators are the Double-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals and represent the state capital with a rich history and a tradition of baseball excellence. The Senators have cemented their legacy as one of the league's premier teams, known for their impressive nine Eastern League titles and a remarkable four-year championship streak in the late 1990s. The Senators are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and dependable individual for the position of Group Event Associate for the 2026 Season. This is a paid seasonal position with a start date beginning January, 2026 and an end date in mid-September, 2026.
Compensation: $1,200 per month, paid hourly
Requirements:
Completing or have completed a four–year college degree in Sport Management, Marketing, Business or another related field. Ability to work within the dates listed above. Ability to maintain flexible hours, including but not limited to, normal business hours, nights, and weekends. Must provide own transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is to work with the ticketing department to maintain ticket clients and coordinate group outings to Senators games.
- Will be part of a team that will brainstorm various event themes to sell tickets to different niches in the community.
- Work all Harrisburg Senators home games and other ballpark events as needed.
- Rotational departmental duties. Gain experience in all aspects of team operations including maintenance of ballpark, setup for ballgames and other events, Senators community events, etc.
Qualifications:
- Previous sales or customer service experience strongly desired
- Self-motivated and hard-working
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work and communicate well with others as well as independently
- Ability to maintain multiple tasks at once and follow instructions from multiple supervisors
- Charismatic, team player - must work well in team setting.
