Job Title: Graphic Design Associate
Reports to: Manager, Creative Services
Hours of Work: This is a part-time, seasonal position. Hours will vary based on the game and event schedule and will include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be available to work all home games and assist with content needs before, during, and after games.
Contract Type: Part-Time, Seasonal, Non-Exempt

About the Fayetteville Woodpeckers: 
The Fayetteville Woodpeckers are the Single-A affiliate of the Houston Astros and play their home games at Segra Stadium in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Position Overview:
The Graphic Design Associate will work closely with the Creative Services Manager and Marketing team to concept, design, and produce graphics that support the club’s marketing efforts and enhance the fan experience. This role will contribute to a wide range of creative projects, including social media content, promotional materials, digital campaigns, and in-game graphics.

Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design & Content Creation
    • Create graphics for social media, website, email campaigns, and in-game videoboard use.
    • Assist in the design of promotional materials, advertisements, and marketing campaigns.
    • Ensure all creative work aligns with the club’s brand standards and visual identity.
  • Creative Collaboration
    • Collaborate with the Creative Services Manager and Marketing team to develop creative concepts and campaigns.
    • Translate marketing goals into visually compelling designs that drive fan engagement and ticket sales.
    • Incorporate feedback and revisions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operations & Execution
    • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Organize and maintain design files and creative assets for cross-departmental use.
    • Support additional creative and marketing initiatives as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of layout, typography, and color theory.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience designing for sports, entertainment, or live events.
  • Basic knowledge of motion graphics or animation (After Effects).
  • Experience creating content optimized for social media platforms.
  • Portfolio demonstrating a range of design work.

Work Environment:
This position operates in both an office setting and a high-energy outdoor stadium environment. The role may involve working in large crowds and varying weather conditions during games and events.

Physical Demands:
This role requires standing, walking, and moving throughout the ballpark for extended periods of time. The employee may be required to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 30 pounds and work on their feet for several hours at a time.

Travel:
Travel is not expected for this position.
