About the Columbus Clingstones:
The Columbus Clingstones, the Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, are in their inaugural season at Synovus Park. Playing at the renovated historic Golden Park, the Clingstones aim to combine thrilling baseball action with a vibrant and family-friendly fan experience. As a new cornerstone of the Columbus sports scene, the Clingstones are dedicated to fostering community engagement and developing future Major League talent. The Columbus Clingstones are a proud member club of Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH). DBH was formed in 2021 to support, promote, and enhance Minor League Baseball through best practices, professional management, innovation, and investment.
 
Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for, but not limited to, selling all group products including birthday packages, fan experience packages, individual and packaged suites/hospitality, and group events to corporations, non-profits, schools, groups with an emphasis on maximizing revenue
  • Lead Account Executives through continuous sales training to create and sustain a competitive sales team
  • Create and implement sales contests to motivate and drive a culture of sales excellence
  • Assist the Director of Tickets Sales in strategic planning of group sales for future years
  • Collaborate with the Director of Ticket Sales to implement new products for groups and fan experience packages
  • Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly and annual sales goals
  • Implement and demonstrate outbound sales efforts by using sales and service best practices, prospecting, networking, lead generation, referral gathering, data capture and personal database management
  • Assist in holding teammates accountable to touchpoint goals and data collection through systems and processes established by DBH leadership and the Director of Ticket Sales
  • Generate a pre-determined minimum number of weekly out of office as well as in ballpark “face-to-face” meetings to create new business opportunities
  • Provide a superior level of customer service to all suite clients, season ticket holders, plan holders, single game buyers, groups, and new business prospects and fans alike
  • Continually create and implement unique sales strategies, ideas and programs as a means of producing new business opportunities
  • Develop and implement prospecting events in collaboration with season tickets, corporate partnerships, and groups business
  • Contribute positively to the sales team culture by developing mutually beneficial working relationships with all team members
  • Review and continuously explore systems and processes for effective and efficient revenue generation
  • Participate and contribute to sales team meetings and training sessions

  • Participate in community engagement efforts to represent the Columbus Clingstones in both Ticket Sales and recruitment
  • Support game day efforts setting the ballpark for guests and breaking down group spaces post-game
  • Support rotation of game day responsibilities including but not limited to gate captain and our sales table
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years of prior outbound sport sales experience
  • Minimum one year management experience
  • Looking for a leader who is personable, hardworking, self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented to become a valuable member of our sales team.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), decision making, basic computer skills, project management, and inter-personal skills necessary.
  • Willing to engrain themselves in the community through networking and relationship building
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication, customer service and problem solving skills
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to navigate the stadium in order to visit clients during home games and escort potential customers on seat tours, showing various seating options and facilities on both game days and non-game days
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holiday
  • Minimum three business based relationship references available upon request.
