Position Summary:
The Merchandise / Retail Store Intern supports the daily operations of the Columbus Clingstones Team Store and game-day retail activations throughout the ballpark. This role provides hands-on experience in sports retail management, inventory control, customer service, and merchandising strategy within a professional baseball environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily operations of the Clingstones Team Store, including opening and closing procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service to fans and guests
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently
- Assist with merchandise displays, visual merchandising, and product replenishment
- Support inventory management, including receiving shipments, stock organization, counts, and shrink control
- Assist with pricing, tagging, and product placement for new merchandise launches
- Support game-day retail operations at satellite merchandise stands throughout the ballpark
- Assist with e-commerce order fulfillment, packaging, and shipping (if applicable)
- Support special promotions, theme-night merchandise, and limited-edition product drops
- Help track sales data and assist with post-game or post-event reporting

Physical & Work Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move merchandise boxes (up to 40 lbs)
- Willingness to work in varying temperatures within the ballpark
