Position: Special Events Seasonal Associate  

Special Events Department:

The Special Events Department focus is to maximize the use of all event spaces at Truist Field throughout the year for non-game days while generating revenue for the Charlotte Knights organization. Our focus is to provide excellent customer service, create memorable experiences and exceed event expectations. It is our goal to present Truist Field as a premiere entertainment venue that welcomes all types of events, groups and causes year-round. 

Job Description:

A successful candidate for the Special Events Seasonal Associate position must be a self-motivated individual with strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills. This person will assist with all aspects of special events, focusing on the set-up, breakdown, and execution of the Light the Knights Festival. The candidate will assist in scheduling and overseeing a diverse group of part-time employees, all set-up and breakdown of holiday décor, event day troubleshooting, and holistic planning of a large-scale event. 

Responsibilities:

·       Assist with all prep work for each event, including but not limited to

-       removing/setting up furniture and event layouts

-       cleaning event spaces

-       monitoring entrances/exits

-       scheduling third-party staffing

-       coordinating third party rental materials 

·       Prepare and maintain required documentation for all events

·       Schedule Charlotte Knights staff for all Light the Knights shifts

·       Oversee 3rd Party Light the Knights event staff

·       Decorate Truist Field in holiday décor

·       Troubleshoot event day problems

·       Diffuse fan related issues and determine best solutions

·       Assist on the ground in the skate tent and on the snow tubing hill

Qualifications:

·       Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, diplomacy in all situations and enthusiasm

·       Clear concise written and verbal communication skills 

·       High energy and desire to create memorable fan experiences 

·       Ability to lift 25 pounds 

·       Ability to stand for long periods of time

·       Ability to consistently walk around and entire Triple-A Ballpark

·       Ability to work outside in cold temperatures for extended periods of time

·       Ability to work nights, weekends, and around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays


Immediate Supervisor: Director of Special Events

Secondary Supervisor: Special Events Manager


Work Hours and Benefits 

Start Date: on or around September 22, 2025

End Date: on or around January 30, 2026

Pay Rate: $15/hr

Schedule: 

·       This is a seasonal, part-time associateship

·       Max 40 hours per week

·       Will be required to work evenings and weekends

·       Will be required to work leading up to and/or during Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays
