Job Summary:
The Charlotte Knights are seeking a talented and innovative Graphic Designer and Website Assistant to join our team. As a Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual experience of our audience by creating captivating designs that align with our brands and engage fans on our digital platforms, through traditional media and in stadium. On our website, you will keep the content updated with graphics, articles and information that is compelling and informative to our fans.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design high-quality graphical elements for various marketing collateral including digital, print, in-stadium, and other promotional materials.
- Create and edit digital assets for the Charlotte Knights to use on various social media channels, email, website, and other digital assets to increase brand awareness, engagement, sales, and revenue.
- Create digital ads as assigned by the Marketing Director for use with traditional media, digital media, social media and more.
- Update and maintain the company website with fresh and relevant content, including news articles, blog posts, event updates, graphics, photos and other elements as assigned.
- Assist in ensuring the website's functionality, user experience, and mobile responsiveness
- Assist the marketing/social team in capturing content, including interviews, video shoots, photography sessions, and event documentation
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Support game day and scoreboard operations on event dates to create and execute in-game elements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications specifically Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Basic knowledge of website content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress
- Experience in shooting and editing photography and video is desirable
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and home games as required.
- Strong attention to detail and a pulse on current and trendy design styles.
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and turn projects around quickly.
- Baseball or Sports Industry experience is a plus
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work outside events, as needed
- Assist with other front office functions including, but not limited to, pulling tarp, front desk shifts and community projects
- Other duties as assigned
