Overview
Cosmic Sports combines blacklight and entertainment lighting technology, music, athleticism, and fan merchandise to create the most unique sports entertainment experience. Building off the success of Cosmic Baseball and its two national tours, Cosmic Sports is ready to launch its newest sport in January 2027: Cosmic Hockey.
Position Purpose
The Social Media Content Creator will be a part of a marketing and content creation team that captures, evolves and elevates our brands through digital media. The person in this position will use their passion for sports, content creation and social media to grow and engage with our followers across multiple platforms.
This role will work with organizational leadership and colleagues to set and execute strategic objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
This position starts in July 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Iplement the overall social media strategy for Cosmic Hockey, while monitoring content and user engagement for content optimization.
- Collaborate with staff and athletes on content creation, scheduling, and publishing for Cosmic Hockey and ensuring consistency with brand voice and organizational objectives.
- Produce and create content for Cosmic Hockey and team social media channels.
- Assist in influencer marketing campaign ideation and execution
- Create original content to drive revenue opportunities for ticketing and merchandise sales.
- Track and analyze emerging social media trends and platforms.
- Collaborate with staff from other departments to determine content creation needs and how to best fulfill those needs.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, marketing, business or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience: Minimum one (1) year of professional/internship experience in digital/social content and marketing strategy and publication.
- Strong copywriting skills.
- Advanced knowledge of social media platforms including but not limited to X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.
- Intermediate understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Must be able to capture and edit social-first and compelling cell phone videos for baseball, lifestyle and influencer content.
- Reliability, communication, strong collaboration and organizational skills are required.
- Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
- Strong background working in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Basic knowledge of baseball is required and a passion to continue to learn the game expected to fulfill several responsibilities.
- Experience working for a major sports brand is preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic are a must.
- Ability to work as business needs require which may include long days, evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and travel when necessary.
- Must have U.S. work authorization.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $35,000-$45,000/year
- Tour: The organization will cover flight, ground transportation, lodging and food per diem on tours.

Time Commitment
- 9am-5pm Monday-Friday at Cosmic City
- As preparation for the season picks up, hours outside of 9am-5pm and over the weekend will be required
- During the season, evening, night and weekend hours will be required based on the game schedule, tour needs, community events, special projects, and more
- Travel to tour stops for up to a week at a time or longer.
