POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs Journeyman level work in the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical, fire alarm, communication and video systems in compliance with all regulatory agencies.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of all electrical and related systems.  The maintenance work includes doing preventive maintenance on the building’s electrical and related systems. Remain in compliance with current electrical codes.
  • Installation of new electrical services including bending conduit and pulling wire.
  • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects. Also able to survey electrical systems, circuits and plans.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot equipment problems and determine and execute solutions.
  • Customer service oriented & strong customer service skills.

 

OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work is assigned by means of verbal or written orders and is carried out by the position in accordance with standard practices of the electrical trade
  • Work is subject to inspection while in progress and upon completion
  • Utilize blueprints, equipment diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects
  • Oversee contracted electrical work occurring at the stadium and related capital repair projects and subcontractors.
  • Expected to exercise independent judgment in times of immediate need or emergency situations
  • Electrical assignments will include work at both Coors Field and McGregor Square that will be assigned via work orders or PM’s.
  • Assists in other work areas in the department or ballpark as needed or directed by the Assistant Director of Engineering.
  • Assist on Projects, Preventative Maintenace and Work Orders at McGregor Square as directed by Supervisor.
  • Duties are not specifically limited to the identified areas listed above. May require to be on call for off hour emergency calls.

                                           

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Licensed Journeyman in the State of Colorado
  • 5 years’ experience in Maintenance or Construction
  • City of Denver Fire Department Fire Safety Systems License (Required)
  • Knowledge of Lighting Control Systems
  • Master License (Very Desirable)
  • Audio Video knowledge (Desirable)
  • Low Voltage knowledge (Desirable)
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards
  • Computer Skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, pdf software (Preferred)
  • Operating equipment used in the building trades – forklift, lifts, carts, etc.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Building Automation System Knowledge – Niagara AX
  • Consistent, punctual and regular attendance
  • Professional image and demeanor
  • Customer service oriented & strong customer service skills
  • Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/WORK SCHEDULE:

  • The employee must regularly lift up to 51 pounds, be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices), carry and climb ladders, work from heights, work in small crawl spaces, balance, stoop, kneel.
  • Regular exposure to all weather conditions, both in extreme cold and heat
  • Must be able to work Mon. thru Fri. 8:00 am – 4:30 pm for normal shift. Game Days report time is 5 hours before game time until half hour after game.  Hours may vary due to project requirements such as special game day duties, special event schedules, concerts, season preparation, etc.  Must be able to work flexible hours due to the type of organization that employs this position and requires game day duties on nights and weekends and overtime may be required.
  • May require to be on call for off hour emergency calls or to provide support for service issues or failures at any time.
  • Advance notice will be given for schedule changes whenever possible

 

SALARY RANGE:

  • Hourly Range of $34-36.50. This is a regular status, full-time position eligible for all company benefits including but not limited to Health Insurance (medical, dental, vision), Retirement, and accrued time off (Vacation/ Sick/ Holiday).
