Position Summary

The Colorado Rockies are seeking a Business Strategy Lead to help identify, prioritize, scope, and execute high-impact strategic initiatives across the organization. This role will partner closely with the Chief Revenue & Strategy Officer and senior leaders to address the Rockies’ most important opportunities related to revenue growth, expense management, and organizational effectiveness.

By strengthening how the organization makes decisions and deploys resources, this role will play a critical part in unlocking the Rockies’ ability to reinvest back into the baseball team —supporting the long-term goal of building a consistently competitive on-field product for our fans.

This is a highly visible, individual-contributor role with no direct reports initially. The Business Strategy Lead will help establish and evolve the Rockies’ strategy capability, partnering with the CRSO to shape the team’s future vision, operating model, and ways of working. As the Business Strategy function evolves, opportunities for increased scope and responsibility may emerge based on organizational needs and individual performance.

  • Define clear objectives, success metrics, timelines, roles, and decision points for each initiative.
  • Facilitate alignment at key milestones through leadership updates, working sessions, and recommendation readouts.

Business Impact & Decision Support

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to support high-stakes decisions across revenue-generating and cost-driving areas of the business.

  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority to drive progress against shared objectives.
  • Support teams in turning strategic recommendations into executable plans and durable operating improvements.

Strategy Capability Development

  • Partner with the CRSO to help shape the long-term vision for the Rockies’ strategy capability, including how strategy work is scoped, prioritized, and delivered.
  • Help develop and refine common tools, templates, and best practices for project execution, communication, and measurement.
  • Contribute to the foundation for future team growth, including role design, onboarding approaches, and development pathways.
