Wilmington Sharks Internships give you the opportunity get hands on experience in all aspects of the sports industry. Sharks interns have went on to receive jobs at all levels of the sports world including MLB, MiLB, NCAA, and NBA.
The Sharks are looking for hard working enthusiastic applicants who are looking to start their career in sports. If selected, you will be involved in all aspects of our organization including having your very own focus to be in charge of.
An internship with the Sharks will start May 20th and end on August 14th. We have a total of 30 home dates and most interns will see a mix of working both games and in-office. You must be able to commit to the full season schedule to be considered for employment.
The Wilmington Sharks are a summer collegiate baseball team located in beautiful Wilmington, North Carolina. The team plays in the Coastal Plain League and competes against teams located in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
There are several different internship opportunities for the 2026 season. We will ask you which ones you're most interested in.
Below is what is available with a brief description:
1. Ticket Sales & Service - In this position you'll be assisting our sales team to sell groups and ticket plans while also helping during Sharks games with customer experience including hospitality groups and guest services.
2. Ballpark Operations - The Ballpark Operations intern will be in charge of the set-up and break down of the stadium before/after Sharks games. This position is crucial to our gameday experience for fans and keeping our stadium clean and beautiful.
3. Marketing - You will work with the Sharks Full-Time staff to help promote the Sharks through local media and digital marketing campaigns. We are looking for someone creative that can help get the word out about Sharks baseball!
