Job Title: On-Field Host & Fan Engagement Coordinator

Position Overview
The On-Field Host & Fan Engagement Coordinator serves as the primary in-game MC and a key public-facing personality for the Tri-City Chili Peppers. This role is responsible for energizing the crowd, hosting on-field promotions, conducting fan and player interviews, and creating engaging multimedia content. In addition, the position supports mascot appearances and community relations efforts to enhance the team’s presence throughout the region.
This is a high-energy, people-focused role ideal for someone who is charismatic, confident on a microphone, creative, and passionate about connecting with fans both inside and outside the ballpark.
Key Responsibilities
On-Field Hosting & Game Entertainment
- Serve as the in-game MC at all home games, leading on-field promotions, contests, sponsor activations, and fan interactions.
- Engage with fans throughout the ballpark to create a fun, welcoming, and energetic atmosphere.
- Work closely with the game presentation team, production crew, and marketing staff to execute the nightly entertainment script.
- Assist with planning and improving new in-game features and promotional elements.
Interviewing & Storytelling
- Conduct on-field and in-venue interviews with fans, players, coaches, partners, and special guests.
- Support pregame and postgame interview content for social media and video boards.
- Help develop interview questions, storylines, and recurring segments that highlight players and the fan experience.
Content Creation
- Assist the media and marketing team in developing short-form video content for social media, including fan features, behind-the-scenes segments, promotional announcements, and mascot-related content.
- Participate in filming, brainstorming concepts, writing scripts, and performing on-camera.
- Support digital storytelling that reflects the team’s brand, humor, and personality.
Mascot Appearances & Support
- Work with the mascot performer to execute in-game skits, promotional moments, and interactive segments.
- Assist with mascot scheduling, skit ideas, and crowd engagement strategies.
- At times, may support mascot appearances at community events or fill in for simple mascot duties if needed.
Community Relations & Appearances
- Represent the team at community events, school visits, festivals, and partner appearances.
- Serve as an ambassador for the brand, helping grow visibility and strengthen community ties.
- Participate in outreach programs, youth initiatives, and non-profit events in coordination with the Community Relations department.
Operational & Administrative Support
- Assist with writing and updating game scripts, promotional rundowns, and entertainment notes.
- Communicate with sponsors and partners regarding promotional execution and interview opportunities.
- Coordinate with the marketing and ticket departments to support theme nights and community-driven events.
Qualifications
Required
- Comfortable speaking on a microphone in front of large crowds.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills.
- Outgoing, energetic, and confident personality.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the baseball season.
- Ability to create or participate in video and social media content.
- Customer service and interpersonal skills that help create positive fan experiences.
Preferred
- Experience hosting live events, working in sports entertainment, or on-camera performance.
- Background in acting, theater, broadcasting, improv, or journalism.
- Experience with content creation, video production, or social media storytelling.
- Ability to work with and support a mascot program.
