Position Summary
The Tri-City Chili Peppers are seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Cook to join our Food & Beverage team for the 2026 season. This role is responsible for preparing hot food items, maintaining product quality, and supporting efficient kitchen operations during games and special events at Shepherd Stadium.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and assemble menu items according to recipes and portion standards
- Set up and stock cooking stations before service begins
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and speed during high-volume service
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control procedures
- Restock ingredients, supplies, and serving items throughout events
- Keep kitchen equipment, prep areas, and workstations clean and organized
- Assist with opening, closing, and additional kitchen duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous fryer, kitchen, concession, or food service experience preferred
- Ability to safely work around hot oil, hot equipment, and fast-paced service demands
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation procedures preferred
- Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in hot conditions
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and scheduled game days is required
