Position Overview

The Marketing & Entertainment Director is responsible for developing and executing creative, engaging, and fan-focused content that elevates the team’s brand across digital, social, community, and in-stadium platforms. This role blends marketing strategy, storytelling, creative design, video production, and social media leadership to enhance fan engagement, support ticket sales, advance corporate partnerships, and strengthen community relations initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a highly creative, fast-moving content producer and strategic marketer with a deep appreciation for the Tri City Chili Peppers fan experience.


Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Social Media 

  • Create engaging content—including graphics, videos, photos, animations, and copy—for social media, website, email, and in-stadium displays.

  • Manage daily content planning, posting, and engagement across Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms.

  • Serve as a primary content-capture lead during games, practices, appearances, and community events.

  • Maintain the team's content calendar to ensure consistent brand voice, messaging, and strategic alignment.

  • Monitor social media trends and integrate timely ideas into content strategy.

  • Engage with fans online in real time, responding to comments/messages and highlighting user-generated content.

Marketing & Brand Strategy 

  • Support execution of the team's annual marketing plan, including campaigns for ticket products, theme nights, promotions, community events, and partnerships.

  • Collaborate across sponsorship, ticketing, merchandise, and community relations departments to create cohesive marketing materials.

  • Assist with email marketing, website content updates, and advertising placements.

  • Develop storytelling-driven creative assets that elevate the team brand and enhance the fan experience.

  • Track and analyze content performance and campaign metrics to optimize results.

Game Day & Event Responsibilities 

  • Serve as a leader on the game-day marketing and entertainment team, supporting digital content, promotions, videoboard elements, and in-game entertainment.

  • Produce post-game recaps, highlight reels, and same-day digital content.

  • Support media and press needs, including photography, videography, editing, and content distribution.

  • Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of theme nights, sponsor activations, and special events.

Community Relations Responsibilities 

  •  Plan and promote outreach initiatives, including school programs, youth clinics, non-profit events, military/first responder recognitions, and mascot appearances.

  • Capture and produce content that highlights the team’s community presence, including player appearances, charitable partnerships, and local impact stories.

  • Attend and support off-field events such as festivals, charity functions, ribbon cuttings, and partner engagements as a representative of the organization.

  • Assist with the scheduling, promotion, and documentation of community relations programming and events.

  • Develop creative digital storytelling that showcases the positive influence of the team within the region.

  • Build relationships with community partners, nonprofits, and local organizations to increase team visibility and strengthen community ties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field preferred.

  • Experience in content creation, marketing, or social media management (internships included).

  • Sports, entertainment, or live-event experience preferred.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects) or comparable tools.

  • Strong photography and video production/editing skills.

  • Excellent writing skills with a fun, youthful, fan-friendly tone.

  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

  • Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours during the baseball season.

  • High creativity, strong storytelling skills, and understanding of digital trends.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during games and events.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (camera equipment, signage, gear).

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
