Overview
Collegiate Baseball Experience, LLC., combines competitive sports and entertainment to deliver a one-of-a-kind fan experience through its innovative portfolio of teams — including the Tri-City Chili Peppers of the Coastal Plain League, their alter-ego Chili Peppers, and the Cosmic Chili Peppers and GlowMojis of the Cosmic Sports League.
As a Cosmic Merchandise Intern with our team during the Cosmic Tour, you’ll play a vital role in creating memorable, high-energy experiences for fans across all touchpoints. This hands-on position blends merchandise operations and marketing support. You’ll help manage merchandise setup and sales and bring the Cosmic Tour’s vibrant, otherworldly atmosphere to life at each game.
Working alongside the Chili Peppers’ front office and marketing teams, you’ll gain firsthand insight into how a fast-paced sports and entertainment organization connects with fans, strengthens its brand, and delivers a truly cosmic ballpark experience.

Description
This position is a temporary, credit based internship that requires weekly travel. For this role, the company will cover all flights, ground transportation, lodging and meals. If you live in the Richmond, VA area you will have priority as that is where our warehouse is located! The Cosmic Merchandise Intern supports day-to-day operations of the tour’s on-site and online merchandise efforts while assisting in the sales and merchandise of Cosmic Chili Pepper apparel. This role combines creativity, organization, and people skills to ensure fans have a smooth and memorable time before, during, and after each show.
This is NOT a paid position; school credit hours are required.

General Responsibilities
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist in setting up, managing, and breaking down merchandise booths in the respective stadiums
  • Assist with loading and unloading the trailers upon arrival at and departure from each tour stop.
  • Restock merchandise based on inventory levels, sales trends, and display needs
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock or out-of-stock items to management for reordering
  • Provide exceptional customer service to fans
  • Assist with training temporary staff members on tour
  • Assist with any issues or concerns from staff or customers 
  • Setting up and troubleshooting the Point of Sale system 
  • Engage with fans asking questions while promoting items
  • Work with the operations and production teams to collect fan feedback and identify engagement opportunities

Requirements
  • Currently attending courses in sports management, business, marketing, or a related field that requires internship credit hours for graduation.
  • The ability to travel weekly from approximately May-August. Start/End date will be dependent on availability and will be discussed during an interview.
  • The ability to work unconventional hours, which may include long days, evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and weekly travel.
  • The ability to be on your feet for long shifts and comfortable with moving around each stadium.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-faceted, fast, fluid, and deadline-driven environment. 
  • Customer service experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must have U.S. work authorization.
