Overview
Collegiate Baseball Experience, LLC., based in Colonial Heights VA, combines competitive sports and sports entertainment to present a unique fan engagement experience offered by no other sports organization. The organization features multiple brands: the Tri-City Chili Peppers, a summer collegiate wood bat baseball team in the Coastal Plain League; the Chilly Peppers, an alter-ego team that plays exhibition games; the Cosmic Chili Peppers of the Cosmic Sports league, and the GlowMojis of the Cosmic Sports league.
Position Purpose
The Show Director will play a vital role in our growing national cosmic baseball tour and may need to assist with training of summer intern staff for the Tri-City Chili Peppers collegiate experience. Reporting to the Director of Entertainment, this position will assist with planning and implementation of operations processes, coordination and organization of operations equipment, and supporting game experience initiatives for tour games.
This role will work with organizational leadership and colleagues to set and execute strategic objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

On-Field Entertainment
- Produce, direct, and showcall Cosmic Baseball Games.
- Work with Entertainment Director to build game rundowns, including:
- Pre-game block parties
- VIP experiences
- Fan engagement activities
- Player skits and bits
- Light and audio cue sequences
- Track game flow to ensure all entertainment cues, props, and participants are executed on time. Adapting during the game to ensure timing is as good as possible.
- Decide when halftime starts, Cosmic starts, and when the game ends.
- Meet with in-venue operators & engineers before arriving to get necessary information, educate on how our show runs, and ensure all technical requirements can be met.
- Meet with broadcast teams before arriving to explain differences between Cosmic and normal baseball, go over shot requirements, and ensure all technical requirements can be met.
- Set up and map headsets for three separate departments.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with black light setup and travel logistics for Cosmic Baseball productions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on content creation, video editing, and promotional media during the season and in the off season.
- Participate in community engagement efforts in the greater Richmond area.
- Provide support for other team and tour operations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with fan engagement activities
- Experience with on-field entertainment production
- Knowledge of broadcasting procedures and direction
- Knowledge and/or experience with video board operation and related technology
Compensation
- Salary: $40,000-50,000/year
- Tour: The organization will cover flight, ground transportation, lodging and food per diem

Hours
- 9am-5pm Monday-Friday in person at Shepherd Stadium, 901 Meridian Avenue, Colonial Heights VA
- As preparation for the season picks up, hours outside of 9am-5pm and over the weekend will be required
- During the season, evening, night and weekend hours will be required based on the game schedule, tour needs, community events, special projects, and more
