Overview
Collegiate Baseball Experience, LLC., based in Colonial Heights VA, combines competitive sports and sports entertainment to present a unique fan engagement experience offered by no other sports organization. The organization features multiple brands: the Tri-City Chili Peppers, a summer collegiate wood bat baseball team in the Coastal Plain League; the Chilly Peppers, an alter-ego team that plays exhibition games; the Cosmic Chili Peppers of the Cosmic Sports league, and the GlowMojis of the Cosmic Sports league.
Description
The Cosmic Baseball Broadcaster plays an integral role in the broadcasts of cosmic baseball games during the 2026 Cosmic Takeover Tour. The broadcaster is the voice and storyteller of the cosmic baseball experience for all games that are streamed via YouTube. The person in this role will need to know baseball and present the game experience in an entertaining and captivating manner, bringing the energy and party to the broadcast. This position will be a part of not only the broadcast team but will also work closely with the entertainment team. The Cosmic Takeover Tour will be every weekend from mid-March through mid-October and the broadcaster typically flies in with the team, the day before (Thursday) the first game, and flies out with the team on Sundays.

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary play-by-play broadcaster for all Cosmic Baseball games streamed on YouTube.
- Host pregame and postgame shows.
- Shoot, host, and produce daily feature elements for stadium and social media.
- Edit audio and video elements, including highlights and interviews.
- Write game recaps, feature stories, and articles for the website.
- Assist with media relations efforts, including press releases and accommodating interview requests.
- Interview players, coaches, staff and fans for additional broadcast and social media content.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years experience in broadcasting as primary play-by-play broadcaster for collegiate, minor or Indy league teams.
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign preferred.
- Experience with social media marketing.
- Prior show hosting experience for broadcasts, entertainment shows, festivals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team player with a friendly personality.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task

Compensation
- Salary Range: $30,000-$40,000/year
- Tour: The organization will cover flight, ground transportation, lodging and food per diem for staff that travel to tour locations.

Time Commitment
- 9am-5pm Monday-Friday in person at Shepherd Stadium, 901 Meridian Avenue, Colonial Heights VA
- As preparation for the season picks up, hours outside of 9am-5pm and over the weekend will be required
- During the season, evening, night and weekend hours will be required based on the game schedule, tour needs, community events, special projects, and more
- Travel to tour stops for up to a week at a time or longer
