Operations Internship – Morehead City Marlins
Location: Morehead City, NC – Where baseball meets the beach breeze and sunscreen is basically part of the uniform.

Are you ready to spend your summer learning the behind the scenes magic that makes baseball happen and do it all on the Crystal Coast? Do you dream of a job where one minute you're helping prepare the ballpark and the next you're chasing a foul ball that somehow landed in somebody’s nachos? If so… welcome to the Morehead City Marlins Operations Internship.

This isn’t just an internship. It’s a crash course in game day operations, event management, ballpark wizardry, and surviving summers in Eastern North Carolina with a side sand.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing:

Learn the Art of Game Day Execution
You’ll get hands-on experience running the show: setting up the stadium, coordinating promotions, directing fans, helping staff, and making sure the ballpark runs smoother than a freshly chalked baseline.

Ballpark Prep & Perfection
Help keep the stadium looking sharp. That includes anything from organizing giveaway tables to making sure the dugout has enough water to hydrate a small village. In addition, you will be helping to keep all of the great Marlins fans fed on a nightly basis.

Work With Every Department
Operations is the heartbeat of the ballpark. You’ll work with marketing, merchandise, concessions, players, and coaches. Basically, you’ll become the glue that holds the Marlins world together (no pressure).

Embrace Baseball at the Beach
You’re not just interning you’re doing it in Morehead, where the ocean is five minutes away and every game feels like a mini-vacation. Sunset baseball + salt air + packed stands = the greatest classroom you’ll ever have.

What We’re Looking For:
  • A positive attitude and the ability to laugh when something inevitably goes sideways.
  • Someone who enjoys sports, teamwork, and beach-town energy.
  • Someone who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty—literally. It’s baseball. Dirt is a love language.
  • A flexible, hard-working, fun-loving human who wants to learn the real inner workings of running a baseball organization.

Perks of the Internship:
  • You’ll learn actual, real-life, career-building operations skills.
  • You’ll be part of game days that feel like small-town celebrations and big-league fun.
  • You’ll work next to the beach. Do we need to say that twice?
  • Free Marlins gear (you will look great in teal).
  • A summer full of memories, fireworks, and baseball chaos you’ll talk about for years.

If you want an internship where every day is different, every night is fun, and the ballpark becomes your summer home, apply now. The Morehead City Marlins are ready for you, let’s make this season unforgettable.

Job Questions:

  1. Do you have housing in Carteret County?
