The Lexington County Blowfish Baseball Club is seeking enthusiastic individuals to apply for the 2026 Summer Play-By-Play Crew Internship Program. This internship may include a combination of duties performed in the roles of play-by-play announcer, video production, public address announcer, community relations and media relations.
This is an internship that will be hands on and fast paced, while allowing you to gain valuable experience in multiple areas of the organization.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for baseball savvy interns who have a thirst to learn more. We are looking for team players. While you may be most interested in the play-by-play position, we want you to be just as engaged in the game and duties if you are assigned to the video production or another position during the game.
In past seasons, we have designated a primary play-by-play announcer, while rotating in other interns in this position in various games and situations during the season.
Crew Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily setup and tear down of press box, broadcast equipment and cameras
- Host pregame and postgame shows, including interviews of players, coaches and other interns
- Share highlights with social media team
- Create and maintain Blowfish roster for media and fans
- Collaborate with the entire crew and league partner at FloSports to ensure all video production requirements are fulfilled each night
- Other duties as assigned
How's it all sound so far?
The Blowfish summer internship program is designed to provide you training in each area so you will gain valuable skills that assist in progressing your sports career.
Job Requirements:
- All interns are expected to work all home games and home playoff games during the 2026 season.
- Stadium work is part of the internship – This could include daily tasks such as hanging signs, cleaning bathrooms, picking up garbage, bagging ice, sweeping the concourse and mopping indoor facilities. This is an essential part of the summer for each intern.
