The Lexington County Blowfish Baseball Club is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Partnership Activation Intern for the 2026 season. This opportunity is perfect for college students who are looking for an introduction to the sports business or baseball, especially if you are interested in sports marketing, partnership activation or client services.

This is an internship that will be hands on and fast paced, while allowing you to gain valuable front office experience. The candidate will play a vital role in supporting the front office staff by helping execute sponsor activations, track partnership fulfillment and deliver top-tier service to our corporate partners.

The Blowfish summer internship program is designed to provide you training in each area so you will gain valuable skills that assist in progressing your sports career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with our creative interns to organize photos and videos into folders for our corporate partners.
  • Take photos and videos of corporate partners and their assets (signage, etc.) during home games.
  • Support game day and in-game activations, pregame setup and postgame follow-up involving our corporate partners.
  • Serve as a liaison to corporate partners during the season, including checking in to ensure satisfaction, remind about game nights and their ticket packages, and identify ways to enhance their experience.

Schedule & Expectations:
The Partnership Activation Intern is expected to work some office hours each week and all home games. The actual office hours and days in the office are negotiable. On game day, the candidate is expected to report when assigned by the Assistant General Manager and assist with pregame setup.

Who are we looking for?
The Blowfish are seeking college students with HIGH attention to detail who live in the Midlands of South Carolina or attend a local college or university. Interns are required to routinely travel to Lexington County Baseball Stadium. It is highly preferred that students are able to receive course credit from their college or university for the summer internship. Interns must be available to work from mid-May through the second week of August.

About the Blowfish:
Named after the best band of the 90s – Hootie and the Blowfish – the Blowfish are a summer collegiate baseball team located in Lexington, South Carolina, and affiliated with the Coastal Plain League. The Blowfish are famous for community engagement, all-you-can-eat ticket plans and providing affordable family fun at the ballpark. The Blowfish are locally-owned by Bill and Vicki Shanahan. Three summers ago, more than 25 interns celebrated on the field as the team won the 2023 CPL Petitt Cup Championship. The Blowfish also were named the 2023 CPL Organization of the Year.
