The Lexington County Blowfish Baseball Club is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Hospitality Intern for the 2026 season. This opportunity is perfect for college students who are looking for an introduction to the sports business or baseball, especially if you are interested in hospitality or client services.

This is an internship that will be hands on and fast paced, while allowing you to gain valuable hospitality and client relations experience. The candidate will play a vital role in supporting our Director of Group Outings and Assistant General Manager with our guests in the Stadium Club and any other hospitality group areas during the 2026 season.

The Blowfish summer internship program is designed to provide you training in each area so you will gain valuable skills that assist in progressing your sports career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with our Assistant General Manager to ensure the Stadium Club is set up and arranged as requested by our groups for each game.
  • Take photos and videos of groups enjoying the game in the Stadium Club.
  • Ensure that food and beverages are set up properly prior to gates opening and keep all tables clean and food filled during the game.
  • Work directly with our Director of Group Outings to ensure that guests are enjoying their experience.
  • Identify any opportunities during the game to improve our guests' experience in the Stadium Club.
  • Assist Front Office staff with set up of player postgame meals in the Stadium Club.

Schedule & Expectations:
The Hospitality Intern is expected to work all home games. On game day, the candidate is expected to report when assigned by the Assistant General Manager and assist with pregame setup.

Who are we looking for?
The Blowfish are seeking college students with HIGH attention to detail who live in the Midlands of South Carolina or attend a local college or university. Interns are required to routinely travel to Lexington County Baseball Stadium. It is highly preferred that students are able to receive course credit from their college or university for the summer internship. Interns must be available to work from mid-May through the second week of August.

About the Blowfish:
Named after the best band of the 90s – Hootie and the Blowfish – the Blowfish are a summer collegiate baseball team located in Lexington, South Carolina, and affiliated with the Coastal Plain League. The Blowfish are famous for community engagement, all-you-can-eat ticket plans and providing affordable family fun at the ballpark. The Blowfish are locally-owned by Bill and Vicki Shanahan. Three summers ago, more than 25 interns celebrated on the field as the team won the 2023 CPL Petitt Cup Championship. The Blowfish also were named the 2023 CPL Organization of the Year.
