Position Overview
The Greenville Yard Gnomes are seeking a driven, creative, and energetic Sales Executive to support revenue-generating initiatives for the organization. This position is responsible for executing sales strategies for individual, season, and group ticket sales, as well as corporate partnership and advertising sales. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong prospecting skills, the ability to identify new business opportunities, and the confidence to close sales through effective presentations and relationship building.

This role focuses on developing community connections, increasing fan attendance, and generating new ticketing and sponsorship revenue.

Who Are the Greenville Yard Gnomes?
The Yard Gnomes are a two-year-old team located in Greenville, N.C., and a member of the Coastal Plain League. The league is one of the top summer collegiate baseball leagues in the country, with over 200 alumni who have advanced to Major League Baseball.

Responsibilities
Ticket Sales
  •  Execute ticket sales efforts including season tickets, mini plans, group outings, and individual game tickets. 
  •  Prospect new clients through calls, emails, networking, and in-person meetings. 
  •  Assist in developing creative ticket packages and promotions to increase revenue and attendance. 
  •  Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales and renewal process. 
  •  Track sales activity and revenue progress and report to the General Manager. 

Corporate Partnerships and Advertising Sales
  •  Prospect and sell corporate sponsorships, advertising packages, and hospitality experiences. 
  •  Maintain relationships with local and regional businesses. 
  •  Assist in ensuring sponsor fulfillment and positive partner experiences. 
  •  Identify new partnership opportunities within the community. 

Operational Support
  •  Assist with game day operations as needed. 
  •  Support front office initiatives, promotions, and special events. 
  •  Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational success. 

Qualifications
  •  Sales experience  (sports sales experience is a plus). 
  •  Strong communication, presentation, and closing skills. 
  •  Ability to build relationships and generate new business. 
  •  Highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented. 
  •  Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  •  Experience with ticketing systems preferred (the Yard Gnomes utilize Vivenu). 
  •  Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays during the season. 
  •  Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. 

Compensation
Base salary plus commission and bonus opportunities based on sales performance.
