About the Greenville Yard Gnomes  
The Greenville Yard Gnomes are a member of the Coastal Plain League. The Greenville Yard Gnomes are a member of the Coastal Plain League. The Coastal Plain League  prides itself on creating a professional, minor league-like atmosphere for all its players, coaches, umpires, and fans each and every summer! The Yard Gnomes are entering year three of the organization and have exciting plans!

About The Ambassador Program  
The Greenville Yard Gnomes are looking for motivated and dedicated trainees looking to begin or continue their careers in the sports industry. The trainee program is open to college students and recent college graduates. Trainee’s will be required to work all home games and some non-game day events and office requirements. This program is designed to showcase behind-the-scenes of working for a sports organization. 

Ambassador Schedule -- Based on home games
Timeline:  May 22nd – August 9th 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Work all home games throughout the season while helping create a fun, energetic, and welcoming ballpark atmosphere.
  • Assist with game day ballpark setup, including tables, chairs, flags, signage, tents, and other event materials. 
  • Support stadium and concourse activations for theme nights, including vendor setup and teardown. 
  • Assist with pregame ceremonies, in-game entertainment, promotions, and fan engagement activities. 
  • Collaborate with staff and interns on creative in-game features, skits, and promotional ideas. 
  • Help organize ballpark, including promotional and concession items. 
  • Assist in maintaining quality control standards by helping ensure seating areas, concourses, and walkways are clean and fan-ready before and after games. 
  • Support food and beverage operations through inventory assistance, setup, cleaning, and point-of-sale support. 
  • Assist interns and staff with hospitality operations and volunteer coordination to help ensure smooth game day operations.

This is a volunteer, experience-based position designed to give you hands-on exposure to all areas of baseball operations while helping you build your resume and professional network. Since launching in 2025, several ambassadors have returned for internships in 2026, creating a direct pathway for growth within the organization. We’re committed to helping you develop, learn, and gain real-world sports industry experience, all while being part of the fun in G-Vegas!
